Mr. Hinshaw was presented the award by the 2009 Selection Committee Co-Chairs, Ellen K. Barry, CIO of Metropolitan Pier & Exposition Authority, and 2008 winner Timothy Zoph, Senior Vice President, Administration & CIO of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hinshaw was chosen for the prestigious award from a list of top technology candidates in the greater Chicagoland area. In addition, Mr. Hinshaw oversees all aspects of Information Security across the global reach of the company.

The CIO of the Year Award, sponsored by The Executives' Club of Chicago in cooperation with the AITP Chicago Chapter, was established by The Club's Board of Directors in 2003 to recognize the increasingly important role of the CIO in realizing value and delivering exceptional ROI, as well as the importance that technology plays in Chicago land companies and our economy.
