WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --Ambitious energy legislation is moving in Congress with a historic UN climate conference capping the discussion in December. CQ-Roll Call Group will explore one of the most contentious issues of the day. The half-day event will begin with an expansive panel discussion followed by in-depth sessions on the regulation of agriculture and coal; carbon as a commodity; the role of technology in generating cost-effective energy; and transportation. The event will end with a luncheon keynote. This event is "on the record" and open to the public and press.

In conjunction with the event, CQ Weekly will publish an in-depth look at energy and environmental issues on Monday, Oct. 19. Roll Call's Energy Policy Briefing will also publish on Oct. 19.
