What:
Girls Rock the House (GRTH) is designed for 8th grade girls in political districts represented by women of the House of Representatives. Local GRTH groups will be formed for a 6-week learning experience to increase girls' knowledge of politics, women in politics and to encourage future political involvement. The program culminates with a national bill writing competition. Winners will convene in June for a 2-1/2 day trip to Washington, D.C., which includes meeting Congresswomen.
Representatives Myrick and Wasserman Schultz will be speaking at the press conference to share more about GRTH.
