Studio Center Takes Home the Emmy for Audio

NEW YORK, May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Audio Producer Dan Walsh of Tonic / Studio Center Total Production won the 2008 New York Emmy Award for Audio at the ceremony held at the Marriott Marquis this month. The award-winning piece is a spot titled "Five Years of YES" and aired on the YES Network on March 22, 2007, promoting the networks 5-year anniversary special.

Walsh's mix and sound-design highlighted the images in the spot, which consisted of clips from the first five years of YES broadcasting, including some great moments in Yankee baseball, interweaved with sharp graphics.

Other nominees in the Audio category included MSG Network's "The 50 Greatest Moments at Madison Square Garden," which led the way with 50 nominations, and NYC TV's "Secrets of New York: Tribeca - Mysteries of New York's Backlot Revealed."

"I had a lot of fun working on the project, and being a huge Yankee fan makes it that much better," Walsh said.

Walsh has worked as an audio mixer and sound designer since 2001. He mixes long and short projects for many regional and national clients, including Discovery Channel, CBS, HGTV and Nickelodeon.
