Leading Digital Agency Greater Than One Names New Leadership

(GTO) a leading, independent digital agency is restructuring its senior management, naming Elizabeth Izard Apelles Chairman and CEO and Richard Newman, president. In addition, Joellen Sommer, who joined the company in 2007, was named Chief Financial Officer.

Greater Than One, which Apelles co-founded eight years ago, has grown under her leadership to 70 people with expertise across all aspects of digital marketing -- engaging and creating meaningful online experiences for their client customers. A full-service, independent digital agency, GTO has robust capabilities in Web development, media, strategy and search. Apelles will continue to oversee the organization's broader vision and mission, as well as lead its long-term growth initiatives.

Newman, who joined GTO in 2007, will be responsible for the overall management of the agency as well as helping Apelles lead its long term growth and strategy. He has over 25 years experience in marketing communications and agency management having held posts at Saatchi & Saatchi, Lowe, Bates and Ogilvy, where he was president and Regional Director for Ogilvy Action. Prior to joining GTO, Newman founded Generation M, a 50+ marketing consulting firm.
