Beginning Wednesday, May 7, expectant moms need only to present a doctor's prescription for one of the three popular prenatal vitamin formulations at any Carnival, Minyard, or Sack'n Save pharmacy to receive a first one-month supply with monthly refills at no cost. No insurance plan is required.
"We are committed to health and wellness programs, benefiting our customers and the communities in which we operate," said Minyard President and CEO Mike Byars. "We're the first to offer this kind of important program, and we're proud to take the lead."
Minyard Food Stores Inc. is working with local health, community, civic and faith-based organizations to help spread the word about the free prenatal prescription vitamin program, which offers patients a choice of one of three popular prescription prenatal formulations by Ethex Corporation:
-- Advanced Natalcare -- Natatab Rx -- NatalCare Plus
The Minyard Food Stores program will save families anywhere from $20 to $50 per month, depending on the formulation selected. For more information and locations of Carnival, Minyard and Sack'n Save pharmacies, visit http://www.startlifehealthy.com
