RALEIGH, N.C., Apr. 15 /PRNewswire/ --

RALEIGH, N.C., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- A Town Hall Meeting regarding this fall's North Carolina Make Mine a Million $ Business(TM) event will be held on Monday, April 21st from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the American Express Service Center in Greensboro. Invited attendees, including government, corporate, non- profit and small business owners, will learn about the program's innovative selection process, generous award packages and how to encourage women business owners to apply.

North Carolina will host the state's first Make Mine a Million $ Business(TM) event for women entrepreneurs. One of only 10 states nationwide to offer the program in 2008, North Carolina women-owned businesses will compete to receive assistance to turn their million-dollar business dreams into reality.

North Carolina women with businesses that are at least two years old and at $250,000 or more in revenue will compete in late Fall. The deadline for North Carolina's online application is September 3, 2008. Award nominees will be selected from applicants statewide and asked to deliver a business pitch to women entrepreneurs, judges and guests who, together, will choose the winners. Throughout the Make Mine a Million $ Business event, attendees will have access to inspirational and educational programming.
