FindLaw's Tarnished Twenty...

ATTENTION-FLORIDIANS WHO CAN'T SEEM TO PUNCH A BALLOT OUT…look no further my friends. Your proud football team in Miami will give you some great lessons on punching. Their blows don't seem to miss much. So take heart, Palm Beach, and citizens of Broward County - fear not.
While it's true that these aren't the Hurricanes of yesteryear, living in separate dorms, partying with the nefarious 2LiveCrew, and enduring Warren Sapp's numerous attempts to become an unofficial Herbalife spokesman, Miami's off-season made more than a few folks wonder if Butch Davis' attempts to reform the program have lessened to nothing more than a tropical depression.
In March, defensive end Jamaal Green was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated battery, after reportedly breaking the upper left jaw and orbital bone of a fellow Miami student who had spilled a drink on Green's date. In Julie, teammate Adrian Wilson was arrested for pushing 5-foot-3, 115-pound Martha Romero down a flight of stairs after a night of drinking and cocaine use.
The Hurricanes have too much pride and tradition to allow this sort of behavior to Green to tarnish their reputation. Adrian "The Pusher" Wilson has been dismissed from the team, but Jamaal Green has not. So, all in all mixed feelings persist for Miami in this update. The dismissal of Wilson helped keep them from the Top Spot, and, sure enough, they're not even the worst bunch of football players in Florida. However, the votes have been tallied and there's no need for a recount. Miami's in the Top 10 for 2000!
