Small plane hits Georgia house, sets off fire

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in Georgia say an Atlanta-area house has been hit by a small plane and destroyed by flames.

Cpl. David Schiralli of the Gwinnett County police says emergency crews are responding to the scene, but there's no immediate word on injuries.

WSB-TV reported that the twin-engine Cessna 310 took off Friday from Gwinnett County airport en route to Sparta, Tenn.

County fire officials say the house was engulfed in flames.
