Stock futures little changed ahead of openingBy STEPHEN BERNARD AP Business Writer
Stocks are trying to rebound Tuesday after being pummeled for the second straight session a day earlier. Overseas markets were mixed. The Conference Board is expected to report consumer confidence rose slightly in October. The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index is expected to show house prices continued to decline in August. Rebounds in consumer spending and housing are considered vital to a recovery. Dow Jones industrial average futures are up 14, or 0.1 percent, at 9,855. Standard & Poor's 500 index futures are up 1.00, or 0.1 percent, at 1,067.40, while Nasdaq 100 index futures are down 0.75, or less than 0.1 percent, at 1,747.25. 2009-10-27 10:41:05 GMT
